Frequently Asked Questions

Can we access the water directly?

➜ Yes, the Domaine is built around nature, forest, and water! Each campsite and chalet is located as close as possible to the shoreline, giving you privileged and private access to the water. You can also enjoy the shared areas (the point, the beach, the lake, the island) throughout your entire stay.

Can we bring our dog to the camproung?

Are the campsites secluded?

Are there toilets and showers?

Can we choose our campsite?

Can we have a campfire? Are there any restrictions?

➜ Yes, and that’s exactly what sets us apart from traditional campgrounds.

Each site is intentionally spaced 50 to 100 meters apart, deep in the forest, to offer total privacy with no direct overlooking. No crowded rows of tents or close neighbors here — you enjoy your own space in a शांत, natural environment.

The Domaine spans over 60 acres with low site density, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in nature, far from the noise and proximity of typical campgrounds.

The result: you’ll mainly hear the wind in the trees, the river, and the birds — not your neighbors.

➜ Yes! We love dogs, and they are very welcome.

A small fee applies per stay, and we require that dogs be kept on a leash at all times to respect the natural environment and wildlife on the property.

➜ Yes, you can have a fire during your stay. Each campsite is equipped with a designated fire ring or fire pit.

Even during open fire restrictions (which may occur in certain seasons), the municipality of Lac-Simon and local fire authorities generally allow fires within approved fire pits.

However, it is your responsibility to always check the SOPFEU (Québec fire prevention authority) website to ensure there are no active restrictions prohibiting open fires.

➜ Yes, you can choose your campsite by clicking the “Book your stay” button on this page.

Using the Domaine map and the associated photos, you can select the type of site you prefer (lakefront, bay, waterfalls, river, rapids, etc.).

Our camping reservations open every year on April 1st — make sure to book early, as we fill up quickly!

➜ We opened in 2025 with private chemical toilets for each chalet, as well as several shared chemical toilets for our camping sites. These are cleaned daily and serviced regularly to ensure maximum comfort and hygiene.

Showers are available during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. It is also possible to wash in the river or the lake. We do not offer showers during the winter.

We are planning to build a full sanitary block by 2027, which will include standard toilets and 24/7, year-round showers.

Is the campground and the campsites reachable by car?

➜ Yes, the Domaine is fully accessible by car. We offer parking areas that allow you to park your vehicle in close proximity to each campsite.

➜ No, we currently do not offer this type of accomodation.
